Luxury boutique hotel with excellent interiors.
Penally Abbey is located in a small village of Penally offering its visitors a private beach. Tenby is located 30 minutes away on foot. The hotel is an 18th-century house renewed by the owners – Melanie and Lucas – professionally interior designers. Hotel furniture is mainly treasures found in antique shops and French markets. Guests can expect warm Persian carpets, pianos, books – there is no better place to call a home away from home.
The property features 11 rooms, all decorated individually. All rooms are decorated in a romantic ( but very far from tacky) style, that will take you to a fair-tale-like world. Two rooms have fantastic sea views. Room n. Seven features a ‘Narnia wardrobe’ that will lead you to the bathroom. Rooms feature some modern commodities such as Nespresso coffee machines and artisan chocolates from a local producer.
Despite the lack of amenities that can be found in popular hotel chains, Penally Abbey offers a cosy bar, a conservatory, a beautiful dining and sitting room, and breathtaking views over the sea and gardens. The dining rooms offer the six, and ten-course taster menus – all from locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. The dining Room is also a space where breakfasts are served in a form of a buffet table. Locally produced honey and jam are a real treat for those with a bit of a sweet tooth!
