Luxury beachfront resort, equally romantic and family-friendly.
The Four Seasons Maui is a luxury hotel originally opened in 1990 that has never lost its Hawaiian elegance. The Four Seasons Resort Maui is located on a small cliff that overlooks Wailea Beach: a crescent-shaped shore with tan, powdery sand that stretches over a quarter of a mile. The Four Seasons looks out over a lovely section of the beach, which it shares with several other neighboring hotels. The Four Seasons brand is known for being family-friendly, so although the hotel is doing a great job at keeping certain facilities for adults-only, honeymooners need to remember that it’s not an adult-only facility in itself. However, couples will surely appreciate little romantic touch-ups, such as an adult-only serenity pool offering romantic extras i.e. romantic cabanas and a swim-up bar. The hotel is designed and maintained in an immaculate manner – marble entryway, marble entryway, giant windows, impressive pools, and ocean views are just the entries on this luxurious menu.
There are 383 rooms in the hotel, and after a general renovation in 2016, we can confidently say that they are also some of the nicest in Wailea. The majority of rooms feature creamy walls, sleek wooden furniture, modern artwork created by local artists, as well as balconies or patios. The overall ambiance feels comfortable and natural. Moreover, many rooms offer ocean views, however, there are a dozen room view options so please do make sure to check the hotel’s website to make the right choice for your stay. The luxurious touches include a pillow menu, bed temperature control, 65-inch TV, Nespresso machines, and personal iPads. Bathrooms in each room can be considered as a mini highlight of the hotel – all marbled, featuring large soaking baths and separately, rainfall shower. Some bathrooms are also provided with locally made toiletries featuring Hawaii-inspired scents.
The Four Seasons Maui offers an abundance of facilities and activities such as a helicopter tour mixed with a sustainable dining experience. Some features include a putting green, tennis court, and introductory scuba diving lessons. There a three saltwater swimming pools – each with an individual atmosphere and purpose. The first one – the fountain pool is a central spot of the hotel and it’s open to everyone – both family-friendly and appropriate for adults. Around the pool, couples can sip a cocktail in a hot tub. The attention to detail is visible everywhere, guests relaxing on sun lounges can ask for a fully loaded Kindle, SPF creams of fresh towels. Alternatively, you can pick a curtained cabanas with flat-screen TVs, personal service, and Nespresso Machines. Couples will appreciate the serenity pool available for adults-only that can be accessed through a gated staircase. The ambiance is fully peaceful – from the infinity pool guests can watch breathtaking views of Wailea Beach or use one of the two hot tubs.
The hotel offers beach access where guests can take their time to sunbathe or spend time actively through paddleboarding, surfing, snorkeling, or participating in yoga lessons. Another highlight of the hotel is its on-site SPA that’s considered as one of the best on the Island. The SPA is focused on health and wellness including chiropractic sessions, guided meditation, and acupuncture. However, guests looking for a standard offering won’t be disappointed – there is more than a wide variety of massage options, and treatments. The Fours Seasons Maui offers a wide choice of wine & dine options. Guests can eat in one of three on-site restaurants – DUO that serves an extensive buffet breakfast, Ferraro’s Bar and Restaurants offering delicious Italian cuisine, and finally Spago, a Wolfgang Puck signature restaurant – a hotel’s prime dining venue which menu offers a Mui and California fusion cuisine, all served in contemporary interiors and ocean views.
